The village is set along the banks of the Lombricese River and is characterised by historic stone houses and narrow streets. The closest restaurant is a 2-minute walk and there is a supermarket a 6-minute drive away. The surrounding countryside offers numerous trails for hiking and nature walks. The region is also known for its wine production. Visitors can enjoy wine-tasting tours at nearby vineyards including the Tenuta Adamo Winery which is a 20-minute drive. A car is recommended for travelling, the largest nearby town Camaiore, is an 8-minute drive, the beaches of Lido di Camaiore 15 minutes by car, Forte dei Marmi 25 minutes by car and the charming renaissance city of Lucca is a 30-minute drive from the accommodation. Further afield visitors can reach; the beautiful city of Florence, in about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car whilst the colourful houses and terraced vineyards of Cinque Terre are approximately a 1 hour and 30-minute drive away.
