Location
The apartment building is in Genova’s Old Port, just 3 minutes walk from the harbour front. The apartment is a 4 minute walk from two metro stations - San Giorgio and Darsena and 2 minutes from a bus stop, so it is easy to get around the city.
The vibrant port is full of things to do and see. The striking new aquarium is just a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Nearby, is the recently developed Porto Antico di Genova (5 minute walk). Here you will find cinemas, restaurants, shopping and an outdoor swimming pool at the A.S.D Spazio Sport.
Away from the harbour, visitors can explore the city’s rich history as one of the formerly most powerful states in Europe. The glorious Romanesque cathedral of San Lorenzo (7 minutes walk) is famous for its striped facade. The monumental Piazza de Ferrari is just 9 minutes walk. Other museums and galleries are within easy walking distance.
Genova is famous for its fine food and has many excellent restaurants to suit all budgets. The apartment is close to a multitude of cafés, bars, restaurants and pizzerias. For self-catering there are street markets every day across most of the city.
