At a 3-minute drive, guests can explore attractions like the Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, with Gothic and Apulian Romanesque architecture, the Church of the Saints Peter and Paul, built in 1633 and dedicated to the life of St. Peter, and the Museum of Galatina. Also, palaces like Palazzo Baldi, Palazzo del Sedile, Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Orsini, and Palazzo Tafuri-Mongiò are nearby, located on the streets of the historic centre, and are worth visiting.
A must-visit is the Ascalone pastry shop (a 6-minute drive), which has served the authentic mouth-watering Pasticciotto Ascalone since 1740, distinguished by its shortcrust pastry, sweet custard, and uniquely fragrant, slightly 'burnt' dome—a true original.
