Parking is available on the square in the centre of the village at CHF1 per 2 hours from 07.00 to 19.00. Night-time parking is free. The parking changes are flexible.
Location
The property is located on a side street in a quiet location in the village of Brè, which is 800 m above sea level and is one of the sunniest villages in Ticino. However, guests are not very far from the city's amenities, the bus n° 12 connects Brè to the centre of Lugano every 30 minutes. The bus stop is just a 4-minute walk from here. With the Monte Brè Funicular, you can reach Cassarate with runs every 30 minutes and is a 7-minute drive or a 25-minute hike (passing the breathtaking Panoramic Viewpoint of Bre) from here.
From the apartment, the park, Museum Wilhein Shmid, open-air market stalls and the Salotto BRÈ and Grotto Castagneto are about a 5-minute walk away. During the opening hours of the funicular, there are also two other nice restaurants with panoramic terraces: Vetta Restaurant and Osteria Funicolare at the Vetta del Monte Brè, which can be reached in approx. 30 minutes walk from the village.
There are also countless possibilities for walks and excursions in the area as Monte Boglia is 2.5 hours, Gandria is 1.5 hours, Cureggia is 40 minutes and the descent to Lugano is 2 hours. The village of Brè is also known for its artistic furniture in the core of the village with 20 works of art by international artists. In the church of San Simone and San Fedele, you can admire the frescoes by Joseph Birò, a famous Hungarian artist.
The nearest shops are at the foot of the mountain, in Cassarate (Migros) and Viganello (Coop, Denner, Aldi and Lidl). In 30 minutes by car, you reach Porlezza (Italy) with various shops. The nearest airport is Lugano Airport (a 30-minute drive) and the closest international airport is Milan Malpensa, about a 1-hour and 20-minute drive.Show more

Make a Booking
To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
