Location
Centrally located in the charming resort of Megève, this studio is within easy reach of the ski slopes, ski lifts and ski shuttle buses, making it extremely convenient to get to the mountains all year round, whether you are skiing, snowboarding, hiking or mountain biking.
The neighbouring ski slopes are picturesque, surrounded by forest, and excellent for skiers of all levels. In the summer, the slopes transform into gorgeous alpine meadows, and the area is a magnet for hikers.
The town itself is famous for its pretty, medieval streets and traditional architecture. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafés and bars to suit all ages and budgets. For self-catering, there are several supermarkets and grocery shops, as well as the farmers’ market every Sunday in Place de l’Eglise (16-minute walk), where you can find the best local produce and regional specialities.
Megève is home to one of the world’s highest golf courses, the Golf du Mont d’Arbois. Popular during the summer months, the course also hosts a Winter Golf competition in the snow. Other unusual winter sports include the Megève Polo Masters polo tournament which takes place in January. More conventionally, the town has the International Jazz Festival in July, which attracts major artists from all around the world. This is followed in August by a classical music festival, the Estivales Megève.
