If you are interested in WW2 relics, then the underground fortification Katarina B is only a 15-minute walk away. Other sites worth visiting are the Rijeka Cathedral, Trsat Castle, Matesic’s Mill and the Turkish House located in the market. The list really goes on, with several hidden historical and natural gems to explore. With Rijeka, you are near nature and also the summer paradise, Krk Island– the Krk Bridge is a convenient 25-minute drive from here.
